Occupational Therapists

  • Victoria Read

    Victoria owns OT for me and has over 9 years experience as an occupational therapist working in the community with children and adolescents with disability and developmental delays. She holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (first class honours) and Masters in Developmental Disability through the University of Sydney. During her Master’s degree, Victoria conducted a research project on using proprioceptive sensory input to minimise undesirable behaviours in children with autism.

    Victoria is mother to two gorgeous children.. She loves coming to work each day and helping children to learn and grow through strengths-based intervention. She enjoys celebrating all wins, big and little, with children and their families. Victoria continues to ensure that services at OT for me are flexible and responsive to individual needs and she values the connections she makes with all children and their families.

  • Jessica Cannings

    Jess is our Senior OT. Jess has a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Rehabilitation Counselling) and a Masters of Occupational Therapy. Jess has worked in a range of different areas since graduating from her Masters of Occupational Therapy 11 years ago, including Inpatient Rehabilitation, Activities of Daily Living Assessment and Equipment Prescription.

    Jess is a mother to four gorgeous children. She understands that children come in all shapes and sizes and loves discovering what unique skills and abilities they bring to each session. Jess is passionate about building skills and abilities through play and activities that are meaning and purposeful and helping children to reach their goals and potential. Jess values the importance of communication, flexibility and collaborative goals setting with families to provide individualised therapy and interventions.

  • Valentina Cardenas Lopez

    Val is an enthusiastic and friendly member of our team. She has a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy and is a fluent spanish speaker. Val has experience working with both children and adults in the community and hospital settings. She is a highly motivated therapist who values working collaboratively with children and families to achieve their goals. Val joined OT for me at the beginning of 2023 after having experience as a therapy assistant.

    She is passionate about creating meaningful connections with children to support their confidence and independence. Val focuses on clients strengths so they can flourish and participate in the activities they want and need to do. In her spare time you catch Val enjoying a sunset swim at the beach or out for a hike.

  • Corey Knight

    Corey joined the OT for me team at the beginning of 2023. He holds a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. Corey has previously worked as a disability support worker, working with numerous children of different ages with unique goals and abilities.

    Corey is a fun, passionate and loves collaborating with families and kids to help kids work towards achieving their goals while integrating the child’s interest and strengths.

    Corey has 4 younger siblings and loves engaging with kids. Through this he knows that every kid has their own unique strengths, motivations and are lots of fun to be around! When Corey isn’t at OT for me he loves to play soccer, watch sport and go to the beach.
